Disney World expands luggage transfer perks as it tightens resort transportation rules

Walt Disney World announced that its Airport Luggage Transfer service will be available to more guests, adding Delta Air Lines to the list of airlines whose passengers staying at Disney’s value‑category resorts can have checked bags delivered free of charge from Orlando International Airport. The service remains limited to guests at properties such as All‑Star Sports, All‑Star Music, All‑Star Movies, Pop Century and Art of Animation.

At the same time, Disney has introduced new transportation restrictions at Disney Springs. Starting June 28, buses and boats departing Disney Springs will admit only guests who are staying at a Disney Resort hotel or who have a qualifying dining or recreation reservation at the resort they intend to visit, and guests with reservations must board within two hours of their reservation time. The changes are intended to prioritize transport for resort guests but have drawn criticism from off‑site visitors who previously used Disney Springs as a free parking and shuttle hub.
