Disney World implements major attraction changes and rebrands

Disney World is undergoing significant transformations in 2026, involving the rebranding and closure of several long-standing attractions. At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith closed in March and was replaced in May by Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets.

At Animal Kingdom, the DINOSAUR attraction closed in February to make way for the Tropical Americas expansion, which will include an Indiana Jones-themed area.

Additionally, fans have noted signs that the 1986 science-fiction musical attraction Captain EO, starring Michael Jackson, may return for a limited run. This speculation follows the announcement of a new Fuzzball plush at the D23 convention, a character from the original 4D film directed by Francis Ford Coppola.
