Disney World Plans Verification for Resort Bus Riders

Walt Disney World is reportedly preparing to permanently resume transportation verification at Disney Springs. Guests who wish to board resort buses will have to show proof of a Disney Resort hotel stay, a dining reservation, or a recreation activity booking. The verification process was tested during the Easter season and received positive internal feedback.

Sources say Disney is also evaluating whether similar verification could be extended to other bus routes, monorail stations, Skyliner points and boat services across the resort. The move is aimed at prioritising paying resort guests, reducing operating costs, encouraging on‑property hotel stays and improving crowd‑capacity management. Disney has not made any official announcement about a property‑wide rollout, and the verification currently applies only to buses at Disney Springs.
