Disney World Restores Original Smugglers Run Door Feature

Disney World has repaired the large doors that separate the main queue from the Hondo Ohnaka preshow room on the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run attraction in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. The doors, which originally opened and closed to transition guests into the preshow, remained open for years after the park opened in 2019. Their restoration returns the intended guest flow and enhances the storytelling experience for visitors.

The fix arrives as the attraction recently received other updates, but the operating doors are a notable return to the ride’s original design, allowing groups to enter the preshow and have the doors close behind them, recreating the intended separation between queue and story segment.
