Disney World Restricts Transport from Disney Springs to Resort Hotels

Beginning June 28, Walt Disney World will require guests traveling from Disney Springs to any Disney Resort hotel to present a valid Disney Resort hotel room key, MagicBand, or proof of a dining or Enchanting Extras reservation. The rule applies to both buses and boats departing Disney Springs.

Guests who are staying at a Disney Resort hotel will not notice any change and can continue using all Disney transportation services as before. Visitors with a qualifying dining reservation or Enchanting Extras booking, such as a spa appointment at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, may also use the transportation starting two hours before their reservation. Disney said the policy is intended to keep its transportation system running smoothly for resort‑hotel guests.

No additional transportation changes have been announced beyond the June 28 rollout, though some guests speculate the move could foreshadow broader access restrictions at Disney World.
