Disneyland breaks ground on Eastern Gateway parking structure

Disneyland Resort has officially broken ground on the Eastern Gateway project, a new parking structure and transportation hub. The ceremony was attended by Disneyland President Jill Estorino, along with construction partners and community representatives.

The project involves the construction of a multi-level garage designed to provide approximately 6,000 guest parking spaces. Previous permit filings indicated the structure could reach eight stories and include 302 electric vehicle chargers. The development is situated on the site of the former Manchester cast member parking lot.

This construction marks the first tangible phase of the DisneylandForward expansion plan. This broader initiative includes several major developments, such as a new Avatar land at Disney California Adventure, an expansion of Avengers Campus, the opening of a new Cocoride, and a reimagining of Tomorrowland.
