Disneyland Halloween season begins early September, with crowd forecasts for 2026
Disneyland’s annual Halloween celebration, known as Halloween Time, typically launches on the first or second Friday of September. For 2024 the park expects decorations to appear around September 6 and the festivities will run through October 31 before transitioning to the holiday season.
Disneyland has been extending the season, sometimes starting as early as late August. Crowd‑prediction data for the 2026 season suggest the least busy periods are August 25‑30 and various weekday windows in September (e.g., September 1‑3, 8‑11, 13‑18, 21‑27, 29‑30). October sees rising attendance, with the busiest stretch from October 9‑19, especially during Columbus Day weekend (October 10‑12). Weather‑related variations and ticket‑offer deadlines also influence crowd levels.
Visitors can look forward to seasonal overlays such as the Haunted Mansion Holiday and Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy, as well as special events like the Oogie Boogie Bash parties, for which tickets will go on sale soon.
