Disneyland Paris evacuated near Sleeping Beauty Castle due to gas leak

Firefighters responded to a reported gas leak at Disneyland Paris on Tuesday, October 20, prompting the evacuation of guests from an area near Sleeping Beauty Castle.

The incident led to the temporary closure of Central Plaza, a major thoroughfare at the end of Main Street, U.S.A. that connects several themed lands. Emergency crews investigated reports of a strong smell of gas, while Disney’s Guest Flow teams were deployed to redirect visitors and manage crowd movements away from the affected zone.

While access to Central Plaza was restricted, other areas of the park, including Frontierland, Adventureland, and Fantasyland, reportedly continued to operate.
