Disney and Hershey Boost Halloween Sales and Events
The Hershey Company’s new consumer‑insights report finds that Americans are beginning Halloween celebrations months early. The trend, dubbed “Summerween,” is seen by 55 % of parents before October and has already prompted 67 % of parents to buy candy in the summer. Hershey’s chief marketing officer Stacy Taffet said, “Consumers are creating rituals that blend tradition, self‑expression and community.”
Disney has partnered with the NFT platform Santaverse to launch a holiday‑themed Elf on the Shelf collection, including an Olaf‑themed hoodie, a Disney Princess slumber‑party set and a Mickey‑travel kit. Prices range from $14.95 to $25.95, and the accessories are sold separately from the Scout Elf figure.
Tickets for Disney California Adventure Park’s Oogie Boogie Bash Halloween events in fall 2026 are mostly sold out. As of July 30, nine of the after‑hours nights are fully booked, with the most recent sell‑out on September 13. Remaining dates are still available, with admission priced between $139 and $199, the same price for all guests three and older.
