Disneyland Paris partially closed following suspicious package discovery
Disneyland Paris experienced a security alert on August 26 following the discovery of several suspicious packages. The incident led to the temporary closure of the resort’s southern access, including Disney Village, the Indigo parking garage, and businesses such as Vapiano and Five Guys.
Authorities, including police, private security, and military personnel deployed under France’s Vigipirate security plan, responded to the scene. Bomb disposal specialists were also present. A loud explosion was reported in the area, which was allegedly the result of a controlled detonation of one of the suspicious packages by specialists.
While the southern access and certain dining districts were blocked, the gates eventually reopened. Police remained on-site to continue their investigation into the packages.
