Disneyland Paris to restore Space Mountain to original Jules Verne theme
Disneyland Paris has announced that the Space Mountain attraction will return to its original theme, 'De la Terre à la Lune' (From the Earth to the Moon). The redesign will be inspired by Jules Verne’s classic novel and will feature a steampunk aesthetic in the Discoveryland area.
To facilitate this transition, the current 'Star Wars: Hyperspace Mountain' iteration is scheduled to close at the end of 2027. The updated attraction will incorporate the original soundtrack composed by Steve Bramson and will include enhanced queue designs, new effects, and updated technology while maintaining the spirit of the 1995 original.
Separately, Space Mountain at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom has reopened following a closure on August 7, 2026. The temporary shutdown followed a period of high wait times, which officials attributed to the attraction operating on a single track.
