Disneyland PeopleMover tracks spark speculation following mysterious maintenance activity

Guests at Disneyland have reported unusual activity involving the abandoned PeopleMover tracks in Tomorrowland. Observations made from the Disneyland Monorail revealed a section of the elevated concrete tracks covered by a clear plastic drop sheet secured with heavy sandbags.

The discovery has sparked significant speculation within the theme park community. Some enthusiasts suggest the activity could indicate preliminary structural work for the demolition of the decaying infrastructure, while others hope it signals an evaluation for a new attraction.

However, more practical theories suggest the tarps are a temporary measure to address maintenance issues, such as water leaks. The placement of the sheeting appears designed to divert rainwater or condensation away from the heavily trafficked pedestrian walkways located directly beneath the tracks. Disney has not issued an official statement regarding the presence of the materials.
