Disneyland removes family after Tiana’s Bayou Adventure safety incident

Disneyland Resort has taken disciplinary action following a third safety incident this summer involving the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure attraction. In the most recent event, Disney cast members removed a family from the ride after a child stood up just before the attraction's 50-plus-foot drop. Reports from guests indicate the entire family was subsequently removed from the Disneyland Resort.

This follows two previous incidents at the same location. In late June, a teenager climbed out of a log at the top of the 52.6-foot drop and fell, resulting in minor injuries. Following that incident, local authorities investigated the ride's safety mechanisms before it was cleared to reopen. A second incident occurred in July when another child climbed out of the vehicle, causing a temporary operational delay but no injuries.
