Disney hosts D23 fan event with livestreamed park updates

The Walt Disney Company is hosting D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in Anaheim, California. For the first time, Disney+ will livestream several key presentations, including the ‘Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase’ on August 15. This marquee panel, hosted by Neil Patrick Harris, will feature updates on Disney Parks, Disney Cruise Line, and international resorts, providing a look at upcoming projects and creative processes from Walt Disney Imagineering.

The convention also includes the Disney Legends Award Ceremony, honoring 13 individuals such as Bob Iger, Anne Hathaway, and Dwayne Johnson. Other scheduled livestreams include the Beauty and the Beast 35th Anniversary Celebration and the Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 3 cast panel.

In Brazil, Curitiba will host ‘Disney Celebra: Um Natal Inesquecível 2026’ starting December 8 at Parque Barigui. The musical event features over 50 artists and is expected to attract approximately 95,000 spectators throughout its 29 sessions. Tickets for the Curitiba event go on sale in August, with special pre-sale access for Disney+ subscribers.
