Disney's Animal Kingdom Advances Construction of Tropical Americas Land

Disney is rapidly building the new “Tropical Americas” expansion at Animal Kingdom, transforming the former DinoLand U.S.A. area. A massive steel framework now encloses the upcoming Encanto-themed attraction, with rockwork, mesh, and masonry beginning to shape the show building’s roof. Concrete foundations for the outdoor queue and the land’s central carousel are being poured, and a wooden‑carved animal carousel is taking shape under a large canopy at the northern entrance of the new Pueblo Esperanza village.

Simultaneously, construction of an Indiana Jones adventure is progressing, with a stepped Maya‑temple façade erected around the old museum structure. The land is slated to open to guests in 2027, promising new experiences based on the film *Encanto* and other Disney stories.
