Disney's Animal Kingdom welcomes new African painted dog

A new male African painted dog named Prospect has joined the pack at Disney's Animal Kingdom. The addition is part of a Species Survival Plan for the endangered carnivore, which has an estimated 6,600 individuals remaining in the wild.

Visitors may be able to spot Prospect during the Kilimanjaro Safaris attraction, specifically near the den located to the left after entering the Savannah. He joins several other recent animal arrivals at the park, including Ivy the Masai giraffe, Cora the young elephant, and Bakari the gorilla.
