Disney's Hollywood Studios to Reopen Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster with Muppets Theme

Disney announced that the Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be rethemed to feature the Muppets, reopening on May 26, 2026. The attraction, which originally starred Aerosmith, will now follow Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem on a concert‑bound journey in L.I.M.O. vehicles while retaining its existing track and launch system.

A new Audio‑Animatronic figure of Scooter has been introduced, created with motion‑capture technology. The preview also includes a cameo by Statler and Waldorf, delivering a classic “bolted to the seats” joke from the former MuppetVision 3D show. Updated queue elements, celebrity cameos, and a soundtrack featuring songs performed by the Electric Mayhem and guest artists have been revealed. Passholder preview dates are set for May 21‑23, 2026.
