Disney's Hollywood Studios updates Muppets roller coaster

Walt Disney World has implemented new operational changes at the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets at Disney’s Hollywood Studios to address safety and efficiency concerns. Due to the popularity of the attraction, guests have frequently attempted to film point-of-view videos during the ride. To prevent loose-article hazards and unexpected ride shutdowns caused by mobile devices, a new cast member position has been established in the load building to enforce pre-boarding rules and ensure all phones are stowed before launch.

Additionally, the attraction will feature a limited-time holiday overlay titled ‘Rock Around The Holidays’ from November 4 through January 6. The seasonal experience includes festive music, such as a version of ‘Silver Bells’ performed by The Electric Mayhem, and the debut of a new Audio-Animatronics figure of Scooter, created using motion-capture technology by Walt Disney Imagineering.
