Disney's Live-Action 'Moana' Tickets On Sale for July 10 Release

Disney has opened ticket sales for its live‑action adaptation of Moana, scheduled to hit theaters on July 10, 2026. The film stars Catherine Laga’aia as Moana and sees Dwayne Johnson return as the demigod Maui. Jemaine Clement reprises his role as the crab Tamatoa, while the cast also includes Rena Owen, John Tui and Frankie Adams.

The final trailer, released alongside the ticket launch, showcases photorealistic recreations of key scenes from the 2016 animated classic, set to the songs “You’re Welcome” and “We Know the Way.” Directed by Thomas Kail, the movie features original songs by Lin‑Manuel Miranda, Opetaia Foaʻi and Mark Mancina, with a score co‑composed by Mancina.
