Disney's Live-Action Tangled Begins Filming in Alicante, Spain
Disney started shooting the live‑action remake of "Tangled" ("Enredados") in late June 2026 at the Ciudad de la Luz studios in Alicante. The production features a full‑scale brick tower of Rapunzel, which quickly went viral on social media. Cast members including Teagan Croft, Diego Luna and Milo Manheim are on set, and the eight‑month shoot will move between Spain and the United Kingdom.
The project is set to become Disney's longest live‑action shoot to date, with a planned release in 2028. The choice of Alicante leverages the region’s studio capacity and diverse landscapes, which will stand in for the fairy‑tale kingdom depicted in the original 2010 animated film.
