Disney's Live-Action Tangled Reveals Kathryn Hahn as Mother Gothel

Disney is filming a live‑action remake of its 2010 animated film Tangled in Spain. New set photos released by Tangled Updates show Kathryn Hahn in a burgundy costume and long, curly hair that closely matches the animated villain Mother Gothel. The images also capture Teagan Croft as Rapunzel, with her iconic braid being braided on set, and confirm the involvement of Milo Manheim as Flynn Rider and Diego Luna in a mystery role.

The film is directed by Michael Gracey, with a script by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson and production oversight by Kristin Burr. Production has begun and the movie is slated for a theatrical release in 2028.
