Universal Orlando to close Mythos Restaurant as part of park transformation

Universal Orlando has confirmed that Mythos Restaurant, a landmark within the Lost Continent area of Islands of Adventure, will permanently close in 2027. The closure is part of a major transformation planned for the land, which has been a staple of the park since its opening in 1999.

Recent reports indicate that demolition activity has already begun on the exterior rockwork surrounding the restaurant. While Mythos remains operational for now, the upcoming changes signal a shift away from the mythology-inspired environments that originally defined the area in favor of new developments.
