Disney’s Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets Filled with Hidden Easter Eggs
The Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster starring the Muppets at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is loaded with numerous hidden references to Muppet history, past attractions, and celebrity cameos. In the indoor queue’s G‑Force Records rotunda, a livestream shows backstage moments featuring celebrities such as Weird Al, Wayne Brady, and Illeana Douglas, while the queue walls display album covers, a replica of Kermit’s banjo and other Muppet memorabilia.
Imagineer David Brescia explained that guests can find deep‑cut nods like a “keys under mat” door that leads to Gonzo’s Flight School, piano keys hidden beneath the mat, Pizza Rizzo signage and boxes scattered throughout, and a portrait of Jim Henson hanging in the rafters as a tribute. Additional Easter eggs include a hidden Mickey made from audio cables, a “Hey! Hey! Hey! #1 Studio Manager” mug, and a bucket of fish referencing the penguin audio engineers from Muppet*Vision 3D.
These details are part of a broader effort to embed Muppet lore throughout the ride, from the pre‑show’s rotating celebrity cameo loop to subtle props such as a Black Les Paul guitar and a tribute record titled “A Tribute to National Anthems But Mostly America.”
