Disney's Tangled live‑action remake starts filming in Spain

Disney's live‑action remake of the animated film Tangled has entered production. Filming began at Ciudad de la Luz Studios in Alicante, Spain, where a full‑scale Rapunzel tower is being built, indicating the use of a practical set alongside visual effects.

The cast includes Teagan Croft as Rapunzel, Milo Manheim as Flynn Rider, Kathryn Hahn as Mother Gothel, and Diego Luna in a newly created mystery role. Michael Gracey directs the film from a screenplay by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson. The original 2010 Tangled grossed over $590 million worldwide, and the remake aims to retain the musical spirit while adding fresh elements.
