Disruptive launches $10 billion venture capital fund
Dallas-based venture capital firm Disruptive has unveiled a $10 billion blind-pool fund, marking the largest capital raise in the organization’s 14-year history. Led by founder Alex Davis, the fund represents the third-largest venture capital fundraising globally this year.
The firm intends to deploy the capital into approximately 10 growth-stage or pre-IPO companies, with individual investments potentially reaching up to $1 billion each. Strategic focus areas include artificial intelligence, defense technology, and specialized neocloud providers.
This move establishes the 30-person Dallas operation as the largest venture capital entity in Texas by assets under management. Disruptive’s previous investment successes include chip innovator Groq, which recently secured a $20 billion licensing agreement with Nvidia.
