Dissimulator announces sophomore album ‘Artifice Dissolves’

Montreal-based sci-fi technical deaththrash band Dissimulator has announced their sophomore full-length album, titled ‘Artifice Dissolves’. The release is scheduled for October 2, 2026, via 20 Buck Spin.

The upcoming album explores themes of technological hegemony, catastrophic entropy, and cybernetic enhancement. The first track, ‘Alloyed’, has been released for streaming. According to vocalist and guitarist Claude Leduc, the song addresses the concept of ‘Promethean shame’, exploring the metaphorical self-alienation that occurs when humans undergo procedures to become fully cybernetic.

Musically, the album is described as an evolution of the band’s previous work, ‘Lower Form Resistance’, featuring complex rhythmic architecture and technical aggression designed to simulate a futuristic, bionic mythology.
