Distilleries announce new limited edition bourbon and whisky releases
Several major distilleries are introducing new limited edition and experimental whisky releases. Four Roses is launching its 19th annual Limited Edition Small Batch, which features a blend of four ultra-aged bourbons including 14, 15, and 23-year-old components. The release is limited to approximately 16,800 bottles and is expected to be available starting October 10th.
Woodford Reserve has unveiled the 22nd entry in its Master’s Collection, titled Super Seasoned Oak. Master distiller Elizabeth McCall utilized barrels made from staves seasoned outdoors for five to seven years—significantly longer than the industry standard of one year—to influence the maturation of the bourbon.
Other notable industry updates include the return of Baker’s 13-year-old Single Barrel Bourbon, Ardbeg’s new 15-year-old core-range scotch, and Glendronach’s 14-year-old expression commemorating its 200th anniversary.
