Distrito Federal public libraries extend evening and Saturday hours

Public libraries in the Distrito Federal are offering extended service hours, including evenings and Saturdays, to support students preparing for exams and public competitions.

In central Brasília, the Biblioteca Nacional de Brasília operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 to 22:00, and on weekends from 8:00 to 14:00. The Biblioteca Pública da Asa Sul is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 to 18:00 and on Saturdays from 7:30 to 13:30.

Several other regions offer late-night service until 22:00 during the week, including Cruzeiro, Guará, Núcleo Bandeirante, Sobradinho, Sobradinho II, and Ceilândia. Other specific hours include Gama (until 21:45), Taguatinga's Machado de Assis library (until 21:00), and Candangolândia (Saturdays from 9:00 to 18:00). Users are advised to confirm specific schedules before visiting, particularly on holidays.
