DISY begins selection process for 2028 presidential candidate

The Democratic Rally (DISY) party has initiated the selection process for its candidate in the 2028 presidential elections. Party President Anita Demetriou has officially expressed her interest in the candidacy, stating she is putting herself forward to the decision of the party members.

This announcement follows the candidacy declaration of Averof Neophytou less than 24 hours prior. Neophytou is scheduled to hold a press conference to further detail his decision.

To manage the internal process, Deputy President Euthymios Diplaros will present timelines for the submission of candidacies and the date for internal elections. The party aims to reach a final decision by the end of November, following established constitutional procedures.
