Dita Meychan recalls Duo Maia 40-city tour during stage reunion

Singer Dita Meychan recently reminisced about her time performing with Maia Estianty in Duo Maia, specifically recalling their intensive 40-city tour in Indonesia approximately 17 years ago. The nostalgia surfaced following a recent reunion performance at an outdoor festival in Jakarta.

Meychan noted that the high-energy atmosphere of outdoor venues provided a more enjoyable experience compared to formal gatherings. She expressed surprise at the enduring popularity of their music, observing that many audience members who originally listened to their hits, such as ‘Ingat Kamu’, during their elementary school years have now grown into adults.

Reflecting on the intensity of their previous career peak, Meychan shared that the touring schedule was so demanding that she would frequently wake up in different cities and struggle to remember her exact location.
