Divadlo F. X. Šaldy premieres dramatization of Cirkus Humberto

Divadlo F. X. Šaldy in Liberec is premiering a new dramatization of Eduard Bass’s classic novel, ‘Cirkus Humberto’. The production, directed by Kateřina Dušková and co-written with Jiří Janků, serves as the opening performance for the theater's new drama club season.

Rather than focusing solely on nostalgia, the production aims to honor the various professionals behind the circus, including builders, lighting technicians, and costume designers. The staging will feature actors playing circus performers alongside set builders who construct the scenery live in front of the audience to highlight the collaborative nature of the craft.
