Monza counterfeit lab producing luxury car and motorcycle logos dismantled

The Guardia di Finanza has dismantled a counterfeit laboratory in Monza that specialized in producing unauthorized logos for luxury automotive and motorcycle brands. The operation, coordinated by the Monza Republic Prosecutor's Office, targeted products intended for car upholstery, leather seats, and motorcycle saddles.

Authorities seized 97 metal pressure dies, motorcycle saddles, and various fabric remnants bearing logos from brands including Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Alfa Romeo, Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Ducati, Harley Davidson, Yamaha, and Moto Guzzi. The seizure also included six machines, such as electronic sewing machines and pressure stampers, along with over 1.6 million meters of acrylic yarn. The total value of the seized goods is estimated at approximately 277,000 euros.

In addition to the upholstery production, investigations led to the seizure of counterfeit Formula 1-themed toys and miniature cars at a wholesale distributor in Monza. The business owners have been charged with trademark counterfeiting and receiving stolen goods. Furthermore, the facility was found to be in violation of workplace safety and fire prevention regulations.
