West Ham United signs Divine Mukasa on loan from Manchester City

West Ham United has announced the signing of Divine Mukasa on a season-long loan from Manchester City. The 19-year-old England Under-19 midfielder returns to the East London club where he spent a decade as a youth player.

Mukasa, who was born in Newham, previously played for West Ham’s academy and was part of the 2023 FA Youth Cup winning squad. Following a loan spell with Leicester City in the EFL Championship during the latter half of the 2025/26 season, he joins West Ham to compete in the Premier League.

In an official statement, Mukasa expressed his excitement about returning to his home club, stating, “I am just excited to play again. When I found out about the chance to come back, I accepted it without thinking.” He aims to contribute to the team through goal-scoring and chance creation.

Mukasa becomes West Ham’s sixth summer signing, joining players such as Kieffer Moore, Joel Veltman, Manor Solomon, Arne Engels, and Joël Piro.
