Divino Sabino sworn in as Seychelles Attorney General

Divino Junior Sabino has been officially sworn in as the Attorney General of Seychelles. The ceremony took place at State House, presided over by President Dr. Patrick Herminie, alongside Chief Justice Rony Govinden and other high-ranking government officials.

Mr. Sabino brings over 20 years of legal experience to the role, with a background in arbitration, financial services, regulatory affairs, and corporate governance. He has previously held leadership and advisory positions in sectors including anti-money laundering, media, and business.

During the proceedings, President Herminie emphasized the necessity of equal application of the law, stating, ‘Justice must not depend on who you are, whom you know, or the position you hold.’ The new Attorney General succeeds Vincent Perera, who held the position from October 2024 to 2026.
