Divlje pčele returns with darker themes and new antagonists
The second season of the Croatian drama series ‘Divlje pčele’ has premiered on RTL, maintaining its established tone as a dark and brutal family drama. The new season introduces increased conflict, the deaths of beloved characters, and more intense antagonists.
Actor Slavko Sobin has drawn attention for his portrayal of Lazar Krneta, a character described as a sadistic and monstrous figure. In recent developments, Krneta, a prison warden, has used his position to manipulate Katarina Runje. Under the pretext of a promotion, he removed her from her cell and took her to his home, attempting to break her resistance through psychological pressure during a forced dinner. This behavior appears to be motivated by personal vendetta, as Krneta holds Katarina responsible for the death of a former friend.
Critics have noted that the series distinguishes itself from typical domestic soap operas by refusing to soften its tone or make its villains immediately sympathetic, instead leaning into a more pessimistic and heavy narrative style.
