Divya Mittal announces entry into politics from Uttar Pradesh

Former IAS officer Divya Mittal has announced her entry into politics, stating she will begin her journey in Uttar Pradesh without joining any specific political party. After resigning from the Indian Administrative Service following a 13-year career, Mittal shared her decision via a video on social media.

Mittal expressed her intention to serve as a voice for citizens whose grievances often fail to reach or receive action from government offices. She aims to create a platform focused on accountability and the fundamental issues facing the public, such as rural infrastructure, employment challenges for youth, and the impact of artificial intelligence on future jobs.

Drawing on her administrative experience, including her tenure in Mirzapur, she cited instances of bureaucratic delays in school construction and land allotment issues to highlight the need for political intent and justice. She emphasized that her goal is not to attain a specific position but to change the way politics functions by focusing on people's problems rather than just electoral statistics.
