Divya Mittal's resignation from IAS service accepted

The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) has officially accepted the resignation of Divya Mittal, a 2013 batch IAS officer from the Uttar Pradesh cadre. The resignation becomes effective as of September 15, 2026.

Mittal had announced her intention to step down from the administrative service on August 30, citing personal reasons, family priorities, and new life goals. Following her announcement, the state government forwarded her resignation to the central government for processing.

Mittal shared her reaction on social media, stating that her resignation had been accepted and expressing a sense of moving forward on a new path. Her recent administrative roles included serving as the District Magistrate of Deoria before being reassigned as a special secretary in the revenue department in May 2026.
