Dix pour cent returns with new Netflix film adaptation

The French series ‘Dix pour cent’ (Call My Agent!) returns to screens on September 10 with a new film adaptation released on Netflix. The feature film stars Camille Cottin and Laure Calamy, reprising their roles as Andréa and Noémie.

In the film, directed by Émilie Noblet, Andréa has transitioned into a career as a screenwriter and director. The plot follows her efforts to film her first project, which leads to complications involving various industry professionals and former colleagues. While the film offers entertaining moments, some critiques suggest the screenplay feels rushed compared to the original series format.

The original series, which ran for four seasons on France 2, became a global phenomenon, inspiring numerous international remakes in countries such as Canada, South Korea, India, and Turkey. The Turkish adaptation, ‘Menajerimi Ara’, notably became a major success by emphasizing romantic subplots and featuring local celebrities.
