Dixon Technologies expands telecom manufacturing via new licenses and joint ventures
Dixon Technologies is expanding its telecommunications and component manufacturing capabilities through several strategic agreements. The company has entered into a licensing agreement with Aviat Networks, allowing its subsidiary, Dixon Electro Appliances Private Limited, to use technical know-how for the manufacturing, sale, and distribution of microwave radio equipment.
Additionally, Dixon has signed a joint venture agreement with Taiwan-based Gemtek to form Dixon Electroconnect, in which Dixon holds a 60% stake. This venture aims to manufacture optical transceivers and telecom equipment, targeting high-growth markets in AI and data centers, with production expected to begin by Q4 FY27.
Atul B. Lall, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Dixon Technologies, noted that the company intends to focus on export competitiveness, deepening local component manufacturing, and supporting design within India. These moves follow a strong quarterly performance where Dixon reported revenue of 155.48 billion INR, a 21.10% increase year-on-year.
