Dixon Williams leads Rome Emperors in historic offensive weekend

Atlanta Braves prospect Dixon Williams delivered a historic offensive performance over a two-game weekend with the Rome Emperors. During a 19-6 victory against the Asheville Tourists, Williams recorded 10 RBIs, including a grand slam and two home runs, marking the first time a Rome player has achieved a 10-RBI game.

Williams followed the blowout win with another high-scoring performance in a 16-14 loss on Sunday, hitting three home runs and driving in six runs. His weekend total of five home runs and 16 RBIs earned him the South Atlantic League Player of the Week honors. The 22-year-old, a 2025 fourth-round draft pick from East Carolina University, has recorded 19 home runs and 25 stolen bases so far in his first full minor league season.
