Diyarbakır announces new facility for Animal Exchange

Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Co-Mayor Serra Bucak announced plans for a new permanent facility for the Diyarbakır Animal Exchange. Following inspections of the current site, where infrastructure was damaged by earthquakes, Bucak stated that land allocation in the Buyuransu neighborhood has been completed. A tender for the permanent project is expected to be launched this autumn.

In the interim, the municipality will implement temporary measures to create sheltered areas and conduct maintenance and repairs to address the needs of traders and citizens before winter conditions arrive. To facilitate these urgent repairs, the Animal Exchange will be closed on Saturdays and Sundays starting next week.
