Diyarbakır opens Turkey’s first hydrotherapy pool at Healthy Life Center
The Diyarbakır Provincial Health Directorate, with support from the Turkish Ministry of Health, inaugurated the country's first hydrotherapy pool within a Healthy Life Center. The facility provides water‑based rehabilitation for musculoskeletal, orthopedic and neurological conditions and aims to promote active lifestyles and physical development, especially for children.
Patients are assessed by physiotherapists and receive individualized programs that use buoyancy and resistance to improve mobility, muscle strength and overall quality of life. Provincial Health Director Dr. Emre Asiltürk said, “We are happy to open Turkey’s first hydrotherapy pool within a Healthy Life Center in Diyarbakır, supporting rehabilitation and encouraging movement in our citizens, particularly the youth.”
