Diyarbakır students paint school walls to develop mural skills

Students at the Güzel Sanatlar Lisesi in the Yenişehir district of Diyarbakır are using school walls as canvases to develop their artistic skills. Under the guidance of their teachers, students are moving beyond traditional canvases to work on large-scale murals and motifs in corridors.

Visual Arts Department Head Sıdık Yergin noted that the scale of the work provides a different experience for students, teaching them how to manage composition and color harmony on larger surfaces. The project also aims to foster cooperation among students and instill a sense of ownership and pride in their school environment. The school plans to expand these artistic installations to other areas, including music corridors and upper floors.
