Diyarbakır TOKİ residents protest frequent electricity outages

Residents of the 4th Stage TOKİ housing complex in the Kayapınar district of Diyarbakır are protesting frequent electricity outages. Inhabitants report that these disruptions have increased significantly over the past year, with some experiencing up to ten outages in a single day.

Citizens claim the power failures have caused damage to essential household appliances, including refrigerators, boilers, and white goods, noting that they have received no compensation for these financial losses. While authorities have cited ongoing work as the reason for the interruptions, residents argue that neighboring buildings and nearby villages do not experience similar issues, suggesting the problem is localized to the TOKİ housing area.
