DJ Next Health conference in Franca spotlights AI and cybersecurity for hospitals

On 16 July, the DJ Next Health conference gathered technology leaders from Santas Casas and private hospitals in Franca, São Paulo. The two‑day event focused on applying artificial intelligence, strengthening information security, modernising IT infrastructure and overcoming digital‑transformation challenges in the health sector.

Key speakers included Paulo Duarte, commercial and marketing director of DJ Locação, who stressed the need for coordinated investment in infrastructure and data‑governance; Diego Corrêa, product manager at DJ Locação, who described the difficulty of upgrading IT systems without disrupting clinical operations; and Carlos Eduardo of HP Brazil, who outlined trends such as hybrid‑cloud solutions and open‑protocol standards for secure clinical data exchange. Participants discussed the importance of interoperability to reduce fragmentation, improve care quality and lower operational costs, aligning with Ministry of Health guidelines and Brazil’s data‑protection law (LGPD). The forum also featured networking sessions where attendees shared practical AI‑diagnostic projects and cyber‑risk mitigation strategies.
