Djamila Ribeiro and Milton Cunha confirmed for FLIDUC 2026

The first Literary Festival of Duque de Caxias (FLIDUC 2026) has confirmed philosopher and writer Djamila Ribeiro and Brazilian culture researcher Milton Cunha as featured participants. The event is scheduled to take place from September 23 to 26 with free programming.

These new additions join a lineup that includes contemporary literary figure Conceição Evaristo, singer and storyteller Bia Bedran, and actor Silvio Guidane. The festival aims to celebrate Brazilian literature and culture through diverse voices and languages. Djamila Ribeiro, recognized for her work on feminism and racial relations, and Milton Cunha, known for his connection to carnival and oral traditions, are expected to contribute to the event's pluralistic approach.
