Inter Milan signs Djed Spence from Tottenham
Inter Milan has officially completed the permanent signing of England international Djed Spence from Tottenham Hotspur. The 26-year-old full-back has signed a five-year contract that runs until June 2031.
Reports indicate the transfer fee is approximately 30 million euros, potentially rising to 35 million euros including bonuses. Tottenham has also secured a 10 percent sell-on clause. Spence, who recently starred for England during their third-place finish at the 2026 World Cup, is expected to provide versatility in Inter's defensive lineup, capable of playing on both the right and left flanks. He arrives in Milan as a replacement for Denzel Dumfries, who moved to Real Madrid.
Spence's move follows the recent arrival of fellow Englishman John Stones at the San Siro. The defender previously spent time in Serie A on loan with Genoa during the 2023-24 season. In a farewell message to Tottenham supporters, Spence expressed gratitude for his time at the club, noting that it was a “special chapter” that included winning the 2024-25 Europa League title.
