DJI and Hasselblad to open first combined flagship store in Tokyo
DJI and Sekido have announced the opening of the ‘DJI | Hasselblad Authorized Concept Store Tokyo Omotesando’ on October 31. Located in Shibuya, Tokyo, this facility marks Japan’s first combined flagship location for the drone manufacturer DJI and the Swedish premium camera brand Hasselblad.
The two-story store is designed to provide hands-on experience with high-end imaging technology. The first floor features a DJI area equipped with an indoor drone flight cage, allowing customers to test the stability and responsiveness of various drone models, including the Mavic, Air, and Mini series, as well as handheld gimbals and action cameras from the Osmo series.
The second floor is dedicated to Hasselblad, showcasing medium format mirrorless digital camera systems, such as the X2D II 100C and 907X series, alongside XCD lenses. This floor also includes a premium lounge and a gallery displaying works captured with Hasselblad equipment.
To support a global clientele, the store will offer multilingual support in Japanese, English, and Chinese. Specialized staff will be available to provide one-on-one personal consulting to assist creators and businesses with equipment selection and setup. The location also aims to serve as a creative community hub by hosting workshops and seminars led by professional photographers and videographers.
