DJI confirms August 13 launch for Osmo 360 II camera

DJI has officially confirmed the launch date for the Osmo 360 II, the second generation of its 360-degree camera. The device is scheduled to go live in China on August 13, 2026, at 14:00 German time. While a global release date has not yet been announced, the camera has already appeared in the SIRIM database, suggesting an upcoming debut in other markets.

Leaked specifications and unboxing videos suggest significant hardware upgrades over the original model. The Osmo 360 II is expected to support 8K video recording at 60 fps and features a larger 2,150mAh battery—a roughly 10% increase from the previous 1,950mAh capacity. Other anticipated improvements include user-replaceable lenses, Wi-Fi 6, NFC connectivity, and faster 27W USB-C rapid charging. The device is expected to maintain a compact, square design and likely utilize a 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor.
