DJI launches AI-powered Romo 2 robot vacuums in China

DJI has introduced the Romo 2 series of AI‑enabled robot vacuum‑cleaners to the Chinese market. The lineup comprises the Romo P2 and Romo A2 models, each available with a water‑tank version (CNY 5,999‑6,499) and an automatic water‑supply/draught version (CNY 5,499‑5,999).

Both models use DJI’s spatial‑sensing technology—laser radar, fisheye cameras and Time‑of‑Flight sensors—to detect obstacles as small as thin cables or pet pads, as well as transparent surfaces like mirrors. The vacuums adjust suction up to 36 kPa for carpets, detect liquid spills for targeted mopping, and can climb 8.5 cm dual‑layer obstacles. A radar‑adaptive robotic arm swings 123° to clean edges and corners, while an anti‑tangle brush handles hair.

The charging dock features high‑temperature self‑cleaning, antibacterial treatment, UV sanitation, hot‑air drying and automatic waste water disposal. Users can control the devices by voice, view live video through the DJI Home app, and receive dust‑heat maps. Pre‑orders are open in China, with no confirmed global rollout yet.
